01Context

A rare profile on the Kinshasa digital market

The digital market in DRC is accelerating. According to ARPTC, mobile penetration reached 62 % in 2024 and internet penetration 33 % in 2025, concentrated mostly in Kinshasa and the East. SMBs, startups and NGOs understand that digitizing their processes is no longer optional, it's a critical growth lever. Finding a consultant who masters both technical rigor and the realities of the Congolese ground remains rare.

At Ouadday. You get strategy AND execution from the same person: a 360° engineer and project lead (Polytech Paris, ex-Peugeot Citroën, ex-CIO of SIPROMAD Group in Madagascar, founder of TIA Jewelry) running your project end-to-end. No need to coordinate a strategist, a developer and an integrator. One person, from diagnosis to delivery, in direct contact with your team.

02For whom

Which organizations in Kinshasa

SMBs digitizing

You have 5 to 200 employees, still manage a lot via Excel and WhatsApp, and want to structure without losing agility.

Local tech startups

You're launching a product, you need a fast MVP, a converting website, and a solid scalable backend.

Established businesses

You've been around 10+ years and want to modernize your IS without rebuilding from scratch. Audit + targeted revamp.

NGOs and foundations

You need a program monitoring platform, data reporting for donors, a multilingual website.

Internationally-governed businesses

You operate under international standards (non-DRC board, EU partners, ISO or certification requirements) with a Kinshasa-based market. You want a consultant who speaks both languages.

Local consulting firms

You need a clean internal CRM, collaboration tools, automation to better serve your clients.

04The right tool for your case

Odoo is not always the right answer.

Odoo is an excellent tool, a leader for good reasons. But depending on your case, a dedicated custom tool can serve you significantly better.

✓ Odoo is probably the right choice if...

  • You're an SMB with 10 to 50+ users and standard processes.
  • You need a complete ERP (accounting, HR, inventory, CRM, purchasing).
  • Your business fits Odoo's existing modules (retail, standard services).
  • The license budget (~€25-35/user/month) is acceptable for you.

→ A dedicated custom tool serves you better if...

  • You're a micro-business of 1-5 people, an NGO with a few volunteers, or a freelancer. Odoo is overkill, you'd pay for 80% of features you'd never use.
  • You need 1-2 specific critical processes (client tracking, booking, quotes-invoices, field team planning), not a full ERP.
  • Your business has a very specific workflow that doesn't naturally fit Odoo's existing modules.
  • Your teams don't have time to learn a full ERP: a simple tool, trained in hours, is more cost-effective.

A dedicated tool costs $4,500-$13,000 one-time. You own the code. No subscription. More than enough to run your business, and far more cost-effective than Odoo Custom at $13.60/user/month (Sub-Saharan Africa Low-USD grid) over 5 years.

+ You already have Odoo and miss 20%?

Odoo covers 80% of your business but the remaining 20% (mobile money via aggregator, custom dashboard, complex conditional workflow, WhatsApp Business integration) doesn't fit Studio. I build satellite modules connected to your Odoo via API. They stay independent, don't break with Odoo updates, and you keep ownership of the code.

My first instinct is always to diagnose. If plain Odoo is enough for your case, I'll tell you. If a dedicated tool serves you better, I'll build it. If you just want to complement your existing Odoo, I'll handle that. The tool adapts to your need, not the other way around.

// You also operate in Paris?

I also support SMBs in Paris, Île-de-France, and across France and francophone Europe (Belgium, French-speaking Switzerland, Luxembourg). Frequently asked questions

The questions you have

How much does a custom CRM cost in Kinshasa?

+
Between $5,500 (basic CRM) and $27,000 (complete multi-user CRM with dashboards and integrations), billable in USD, EUR or CDF. Compare to an Odoo Custom deployment in Kinshasa (~$20,000 TCO over 5 years for 10 users). Odoo bills DRC on the Sub-Saharan Africa Low-USD grid ($13.60 HT/user/month on Custom), meaning $8,160 of subscription over 5 years for 10 users, plus a local Odoo partner integration (~$5,000 to $15,000) and DRC-specific customizations (mobile money, OHADA, ~$3,000 to $8,000) = **realistic TCO $16,000 to $34,000 over 5 years**, without ever owning the code.

How long does it take to deliver a website in Kinshasa?

+
A bilingual showcase website (French/English): 7 to 14 working days. A standard e-commerce site with online payment: 4 to 6 weeks. A site integrated with a custom CRM: 6 to 10 weeks. Exact timing is fixed in the quote with contractual penalties if I'm late.

Do you travel to Kinshasa for projects?

+
Yes, I'm based in Kinshasa for part of the year. For major projects, I come on-site for the diagnostic phase (1-2 weeks) and for training/handover (3-5 days). Development is done remotely with weekly sync points.

Do you work in French, English or Lingala?

+
Native French and English. For Lingala and local languages, deliverables (UI, client communications, documents) can be translated or localized in collaboration with local translators. This is common for SMBs serving the B2C local market.

Will my site be hosted in DRC or abroad?

+
By default, hosting is on Vercel (Europe + US data centers) for optimal performance and very high reliability. For specific cases (data sovereignty, DRC legal requirements, audits), I can also deploy on a Pan-African data center or a local dedicated server. We'll discuss this at the diagnostic phase.

What if you become unavailable or I want to switch providers?

+
You own 100% of the source code upon full payment. I provide complete technical documentation at delivery (architecture, dependencies, deployment procedure, credentials). Any Next.js/Firebase developer can take over without loss of continuity. Custom is designed to avoid lock-in.

Do you accept payments in USD, CDF or euros?

+
Official payments are made in euros via SEPA bank transfer or Stripe. For local DRC clients who prefer USD or CDF, arrangements are possible with official receipts. Terms are specified in the quote.

Have you worked with SMBs in francophone Africa?

+
Yes. I led IT at SIPROMAD Group in Madagascar (2018-2022) — one of the country's largest conglomerates with highly varied business lines. I also founded and managed TIA Jewelry, a high-end jewelry brand in Madagascar. I know the specifics of the francophone African market concretely: business realities, technical constraints, local practices.

Do you work with NGOs based in Kinshasa?

+
Yes. NGO needs typically include: program monitoring platforms, data reporting for donors, multilingual websites, field data collection forms. I offer non-profit-adapted rates based on the project's impact and budget. Don't hesitate to contact me for an initial free diagnostic.

How do I train my teams on digital in Kinshasa?

+
Training included in every project: 1 to 4 hours at handover to make your teams autonomous on the delivered tool. Complete technical documentation, credential access, 15-day warranty for free corrections. The method: we co-build the tool with your team during development (not tunnel mode), which trains implicitly along the way. At delivery, structured training + complete documentation + full access. For broader training needs (entire team over multiple days, thematic workshops), separate proposal on quote. Training is designed to make your teams autonomous, not keep you dependent.
